Our mission is to uncover, explore, and reimagine the stories of the past. We bring lost and forgotten works to life, while also celebrating their enduring legacy through new and innovative productions that challenge, entertain, and delight.
History
Reflexion Theater Company, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2011, began as a touring troupe presenting free performances in nursing and retirement communities. Our mission is to preserve and revive lost, forgotten, and rare theatrical works, sharing these overlooked stories with contemporary audiences. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality productions that provide lasting, transcendent value to our audience.
In 2016, we launched our first mainstage season at the First United Methodist Church of Bedford, featuring the U.S. revival of the works of English playwright Gertrude E. Jennings, alongside the regional premiere of Temporal Powers by Irish playwright Teresa Deevy. Subsequent seasons have continued to spotlight rediscovered plays, a vaudeville show celebrating the art form’s golden era, and innovative experimental productions. Though our planned spring 2020 production was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now poised to resume offering exceptional theater and entertainment to the Mid-Cities community.
